Jabbok Community Church (JCC ARIZONA) - The place of total surrender

Welcome to
Jabbok Community Church Arizona

JCC ARIZONA

The first step toward divine blessings and assignments is a divine encounter. In the Old Testament, when God wanted to use Moses to embark on a mission to rescue the Israelites from oppression in Egypt under the hands of Pharaoh, he had a divine encounter with God through a burning bush. In the New Testament, God appeared to Paul on the road to Damascus before ushering him into a great and productive ministry. Jacob's first step towards having a new name was a moment of total surrender, where he emptied himself and wrestled with God. This is where Jacob's habitual sin was dealt with, he was completely transformed, and he received a new name.

JCC Arizona is a portal for divine encounters. It is a place where men and women, young and old, in brokenness gather, pour out their hearts, and empty themselves to God, allowing the Holy Spirit to minister to them and expose their inadequacies while believing God for a new name. It is a place where God connects his people to their destinies.

We invite you all to come and share in this personal experience.

Glory and honor to God!

Pastor’s Sam and Sarah

He said, “Your name shall no longer be Jacob, but Israel, for you have striven with God and with men, and you prevailed.” Genesis 32:29

Meet the Pastor

Pastor Sam Mwangi is the founder and lead pastor at Jabbok Community Church in Arizona. He graduated with a Master of Divinity (MDIV) from Covenant Theological Seminary. Pastor Sam was brought up in a humble background in Nakuru, Kenya, walking miles to school and working hard to pay for his college fees. He was nurtured in a Christian environment, and values were instilled in him while he was still young. This humble upbringing has helped him become responsible, visionary, and hardworking.

He migrated to the United States with his family and settled in St. Louis Missouri, and later relocated to Arizona, where they have been actively involved in the ministry. Pastor Sam is a great leader within the community, a licensed realtor in Arizona, a great teacher who shares the truth of the word of God, and a big crusader of family values and seeing people manifest their God given potential by fully surrendering to God and living an intentional life of integrity. His passion to know God led him to take a trip to Israel in April 2019 and spend two weeks studying and experiencing the riches of the Holy Land.

Pastor Sam is a full-time chaplain resident at Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix. He is married to a beautiful wife, Sarah, who is a great supporter of the vision, and she is currently pursuing her Registered Nurse (RN) program. Both Pastor Sam and Sarah are blessed with three wonderful children: Favor, Faith, and David. In his free time, Pastor Sam enjoys staying with his family, reading books, and listening to gospel music.
